چکیده
Human activities have introduced large amounts of heavy metals into natural ecosystems in recent years. As a result, the accumulation and metalloids plants, animals, humans, which may caused some health problems. Chemical physical methods can remove metal contaminated soil, but both are very expensive ineffective. Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) mutualistic symbionts most plant roots. Furthermore, AMF essential mycorrhizae for phytoremediation, extensive hyphal network them increase uptake micro macronutrients, water from soil. However, hyphae colonized roots an ability compartmentalizing inside capable secreting glycoprotein, named glomalin, bind subsequently absorbed by plants Glomalin develop properties structure helps to enhance soil fertility. This paper presents role as potential tools bioremediation

Fungi as potential bioremediation agents in soil contaminated with heavy or radioactive metals.
Origin and impact of heavy metal and radionuclide pollution Pollution of soil by heavy metals arises from a number of sources, including emissions from motor vehicle exhausts and from manufacturing industry, sewage sludge application, and acid mine drainage. Heavy metals such as zinc, cadmium and lead are toxic and may affect man directly through ingestion after passing through the food chain [...
متن کاملArbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi: a Potential Biotechnological Tool for Phytoremediation of Heavy Metal Contaminated Soils
High concentrations of heavy metals in the soil have detrimental effects on ecosystems and are a risk to human health as they can enter the food chain via agricultural products or contaminated drinking water. Phytoremediation is the direct use of living plants for in situ remediation of metal contaminated soil, sludges, sediments and ground water through contaminant removal, degradation or cont...
متن کاملRole of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (AM) Fungi in Phytoremediation of Soils Contaminated: A Review
Pollution of the soil environment with toxic materials from fossil burning, mining and smelting of metalliferous ores, disposal of sewage, fertilizers and pesticides, etc. has increased dramatically since the onset of industrial revolution. Application of plants with ability of absorbing heavy metals is a low-cost alternative for eliminating soils from heavy metals. Phytoremediation uses plants...

متن کاملuse of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi for more effective bioremediation of contaminated soil using both corn and sunflower
one of the method to clean up contaminated soil is growing a hyper accumulator plant which is named phytoremediation. some of hyper accumulator plants are proper host for mycorrhizal fungi.in this relationship, fungus, consume a part of organic carbon from the plant and by developing its mycelium network help plant to uptake more mineral nutrients from the soil. by doing a greenhouse research ...
